refused are like one of the posterboys of edgy revolutionary music. as far as punk music goes their lyrics are just that much more explicit. u know some bands will be like “fuck you fuck you i hate you” but refused will be like “fuck the rich fuck the rich, rich people deserve to be executed” almost verbatim , which is refreshing

aside from that their musical style is just unique.. the opening riff on this song makes me feel like the dude from blade runner its badass

at time of writing itch.io and steam have just been cornered by mastercard and visa into banning certain adult content, which is like fucked up in a major way and a serious encroachment on our rights, and basically this song (and the whole “War Music” album) got me through the night when the news broke

sometimes anticapitalism is about building community and showing compassion, and sometimes its about just being really really fuckin angry and USING that anger to drive you forward!!
